Blueberry Days

Oh my! I'm not sure if it's the summer sun or if it's pregnancy exhaustion, but my brain is mush! I'm thinking of only doing picture posts for a while after this to give my brain cells a chance to to regenerate. Luckily, despite busy long days in the store, we are managing to have some good old fashion summer fun.

Here's my little square booth at the farmer's market in town.

Below are photos from our blueberry picking adventure with Miss Tara in NH. Freshly picked blueberries are so good! We had a nice little two day get away with her at her parents lake house and swam and conversed and canoed and Jake and Tara played some beautiful tunes in the early morn' on the beach. I love when you actually get the opportunity to have those lazy summer days that you so dream of...

Blueberry picking is quite a science, as Tara taught us. You must be ever so selective, and if you're not sure about a particular blueberry, just pop it in your mouth to make sure.

They really smelt so delicious! Saturday morning we had some delicious blueberry muffins that were too good to even snap a photo of.

Here are some things we're also hoping to do this summer:

-More canoeing!
-Swimming in the river!
-Camping!
-Picnicing!
-Making homemade vegetarian marshmallows (anyone have a good recipe) and s'more making!
-Laying about in the hammock!

Anyone have any day dreamy summer plans they want to share?

Quiet Time

Here's our little baboo at 21 weeks. We're in love! So sweet! We got our first glimpse Tuesday morning. It was so fun to spy, and we decided to cheat and peek at the sex, but it was a bit inconclusive. That's what we get for being inpatient! They think it might be a girl, but wouldn't give us a positive yes on that. Baby was being discreet. Or maybe it just likes to keep us guessing.

It's been a busy couple of weeks here. We did some traveling for the fourth of July weekend and then had some visitors up here for a week, which was nice, but now I'm enjoying some down time. I'm a bit of sleepy head these days... which accounts for some of my lack of posting. I think the babies been growing a lot lately, and it's taking the wind out of me.

But I'm trying to get myself going with little projects here and there. I'm going to be spending some extra time in the shop in the coming weeks to give Jake a chance to get caught up on instrument projects so I'll be sharing some photos soon of things I'm doing to give the store a fresh look. Right now, mama and baby need a snack!

Bear in the Land of Giant Strawberries

Just a few things I wanted to share with you: Above, some beautiful wool eye candy... it always looks edible to me.

Here's another attempt of mine at a needle felted picture.

These baby kimono pjs I made from a pattern in Amy Butler's new book, Amy Butler's Little Stitches for Little Ones . They are actually not for our baby, but a gift I made for my cousin's baby who is coming in August. I love the little dinosaurs, and I intend to make another pair for our baby, boy or girl. I'm also going to make more in different prints because they just looks so cozy and cute.

More soon from the craft table.
